Master Class with David Jones

David will demonstrate the principles of the Swedish-Italian vocal method at work with four different voice types. The master class typically includes a brief overview of the history of the singing method used by the teachers of Kirsten Flagstad, Jussi Bjoerling, as well as Manuel Garcia. The class centers around David’s work with four different voice types. He gives various practical exercises that immediately balance the production of sound after which, each singer is guided to incorporate the principles in repertoire of their choice. This master class is beneficial to singers as well as teachers looking to enhance their teaching methods.
David will personally select singers for his Master Class. Active Participants will receive approximately 30 minutes of instruction. There will be a short Q&A session at the end of the class.
